Three Photo Editing Apps You Need
Let’s get into it!
Lightroom
Adobe Lightroom - desktop and mobile - will always be the industry standard for photographers. The capabilities are endless and you can truly be at any level, beginner or a professional content creator. Photography trends are across the board right now, from grainy film to the most clear crisp product photography you have ever seen, and Lightroom gives that flexibility to edit how you see fit.
Have you heard the word “preset”? If not, they are your new best friend if you are trying to create a more consistent feed on Instagram, your website, or any platform you use. Take a moment and envision your favorite photographer, influencer, brand, etc. - what does their feed look like? Consistent in tone, color, and warmth? Most likely there is a preset for their unique style that you can apply to your own photos. Using their preset as a base, you can then play with the editing until you feel comfortable doing it on your own.
Pricing Info: $4.99 a month for full access.
Tezza
First of all, if you’re not following Tezza on Instagram, just take a moment and go follow her. She is always posting the coolest content. So, obviously, the app that she would create would be “cool” as heck. The presets that are available on the app are very aesthetic and the editing capabilities are thorough, but also very user friendly.
Pricing Info: $1.99 per month or $19.99 per month for photo editing. For both photo and video editing, it is $3.99 a month or $39.99 a year. Although, these numbers add up, we 100% recommend if you want unique video edits.
Enlight
Do you ever take the perfect picture, but your face is just a little to exposed or there is an area of your body that needs more or less saturation? Enlight is about to be your best friend. When I found out about Enlight a few years ago, I felt like I had learned a professional photographer’s best kept quick-edit secret. Although, there are presets on this app and editing capabilities like Lightroom, the targeting capability is worth it in itself. In addition, while this app is not to be a replacement for Photoshop, it is extremely helpful for quick edits on your phone and it definitely will suffice for everyday use.
For example, if you are a make-up artist, you can target your eye makeup and bring up the saturation just a tad, so that the colors pop the way they would in person! SO fun!
Pricing Info: Free, but additional capabilities are $3.99.
