Helpful Voting Resources

November 3rd is right around the corner and to get prepared for election night, we thought we would compile a list of helpful resources to help you stay as organized and educated as possible for the upcoming election! It is so imperative that as Americans, we exercise our rights and go out and vote! Our voices need to be heard now more than ever and we hope that this resource list helps you on your voting journey!

1.) Check Your Voter Registration/Register to Vote

At this point, you should have already registered to vote in your state! If you are not old enough to vote yet, make sure that when you are 18 years old you register ASAP! Registering to vote only takes a few minutes and is probably the most important step to take! Another important step is to always check the status of your voter registration and make sure that it is always up to date with your current address!

2.) Pledge to Vote

If you are under the age of 18, make a pledge to register to vote when you legally can! Pledging to vote keeps you accountable for the future and vote.org will even send you a text on your 18th birthday reminding you to register!

3.) Vote By Mail

If you do not want to wait in massive voting lines, you can always request an absentee ballot! Once it’s been mailed to you, all you have to do is fill it out and either mail it back, hand it in or drop it off at your nearest drop box! If you are mailing your ballot, make sure that it is postmarked by November 3rd and is received no later than November 20th! This is to ensure that your vote is counted and goes towards the election you are voting in!

4.) Locate Your Nearest Polling Place/Become a Poll Worker

It is very important that you know where the closest polling spots are so that you can easily navigate where you are going to vote/drop off your ballot! If you want to go a step further, you can always volunteer to become a poll worker and help people with the in person voting process!

5.) Get Election Reminders

It is always good to get reminders on when and where to vote, even when it is not a voting year. Staying organized and up to date with the latest voting information is always a good plan and will help you in the next election!

We hope these resources are of help as we try and navigate this rough voting season. If you want more information on how to vote, you can always go to vote.org or whenweallvote.org! Make sure to have your voice heard and vote!
